Kerala,
a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea
shoreline.
It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of
canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea,
coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like

elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.
1. Athirappilly
Falls
- Athirappilly Falls, is situated in Athirappilly Panchayat in Chalakudy Taluk
of Thrissur District in Kerala, India on the Chalakudy River, which originates
from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats at the entrance to the Sholayar
ranges. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala, which stands tall at 80 feet

Padmanabhaswami Mandir - Padmanabhaswamy Temple is located in
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The temple is built in an intricate fusion
of the indigenous Kerala style and the Tamil style (kovil) of architecture
associated with the temples located in the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu. In
the temple, Lord Vishnu, Brahmandian Nagin is in the posture of the throne by
resorting to the orphanage. This city is known as this temple.
3. Soochipara Waterfalls - Soochipara
Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall in
Vellarimala, Wayanad, India. It is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen and
montane forests, Let me tell you that this waterfall is one of the largest
waterfalls in India, in which the water falls from a height of 200 meters and
provides an amazing view to the tourists.
4. Varkala Beach – Varkala
Beach, also known as Papanasham Beach is a beach in Varkala municipality of
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, along the Arabian Sea, part of the Indian
Ocean. Varkala is the only place in Kerala where the hills are close to the
sea.
5. Vembanad Lake

Vembanad is the longest lake in India, and the largest lake in the state of
Kerala Sundarban with area 2114 sq. Km is the largest Ramasar site in India
Spanning several districts in the state of Kerala, it is known as Vembanadu
Lake in Alappuzha, Punnamada Lake in Kuttanad and Kochi Lake in Kochi,
attracts kerala tourists through its
picturesque, attractive and pristine water areas.
6. Kovalam Beach – Kovalam is a
small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of
Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped
lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach
and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the
busy fishing harbor.
7. Meenmutty
Falls
– Meenmutty Falls is located 29 km from Kalpetta in Wayanad District in the
state of Kerala, India. It is a three-tiered waterfall with a height of 300
metres. Meenmutty is a combination of Malayalam words Meen and Mutty. Meenmutty
Falls can be reached thorough a 2 km hike though the jungle from the
Wayanad-Ooty road.
8. Palaruvi
Falls
- Palaruvi Falls is a waterfall located in Kollam district in the Indian state
of Kerala. It is the 32nd highest waterfall in India. Palaruvi falls from a
height of 300 feet and is situated at Aryankavu in the Kollam district of the
south Indian state of Kerala
9. Eravikulam
National Park
- Eravikulam National Park is a 97 km² national park located along the Western
Ghats in the Idukki district of Kerala in India. Situated between 10º05'N and
10º20' north, and 77º0' and 77º10' east, it is the first national park in
Kerala.
10. Willingdon
Island
- DescriptionMan-made Willingdon Island, at the heart of Cochin Port, is a busy
hub for commercial shipping and cruise liners. It’s a popular destination for
ferry trips from the mainland, and a departure point for backwater boat tours.
At the port’s quaint Maritime Heritage Museum, rare photographs and nautical
relics trace local seafaring history. The quieter, green areas around the
island are home to several upmarket hotels.
